Will there be the option to attend the Meningitis Research Foundation Conference 2025 online?
This year's event will be fully in-person. Attending in person will provide valuable and exciting networking opportunities and the chance to engage directly with expert speakers. Additionally, a drinks reception will be held on the evening of Day 1 at BMA House.
To support in person attendance, we are pleased to offer our largest early bird discount to date, with a 20% discount available until September 5th 2025. In addition, discounted rates are offered to trainees (below the grade of specialty registrar), nurses, post-doctoral researchers, and individuals residing for more than 60% of the year in countries classified as low-income or lower-middle-income economies. Furthermore, we will be launching a bursary scheme to support the attendance of applicants who are nationals of and reside for at least 60% of the year in a low-income or lower-middle-income country, as classified by the World Bank. The bursary scheme offers a limited number of places and will be awarded through a competitive selection process.
Will refreshments and lunch be provided?
Yes. The in-person conference fees include refreshments including morning coffee, lunch and afternoon tea on both days.
Is the Meningitis Research Foundation Conference 2025 free to attend?
No. There is an attendance fee to join our conference and you must pre-register to attend.
We have carefully reviewed our pricing structure for 2025 to make attendance more accessible. As a result, we are now offering our largest-ever early bird discount, with 20% off available until September 5th 2025. Additionally, we have introduced our most substantial discount for early-career researchers and those from LMIC settings since 2017. To further support participation, a bursary scheme will soon be launched.

Who should attend?
We welcome delegates from across the globe who work in the field of meningitis, whether they are researchers or healthcare professionals working in infectious diseases and public health. We also welcome representation from academics, patient group/civil society organisation representatives and pharmaceutical industry representatives. The content is intended for professionals and is not designed for a general audience.
Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with experts through presentations, thought-provoking panel discussions, and a poster session showcasing innovative research. The conference also offers excellent opportunities to network, exchange ideas, and collaborate with peers, ensuring a valuable experience for all those working to defeat meningitis.

The early booking discount ends on the 5th September 2025. After this in-person conference tickets can be continued to be purchased until Monday 17th November 2025.

Is BMA House accessible?
The venue provides accessible spaces for all guests. All areas at BMA House where the conference will take place—the Great Hall, Lutyens Suite, and Courtyard Suite—are fully accessible. To view the BMA House accessibility guide, follow this link.
Will there be photography or video recording at the event?
Photography/videography will be used for the duration of the conference; the images resulting from the photography/video filming of the event, and any reproductions or adaptations of the images for fundraising, may be used for publicity or other purposes to help achieve the Foundations aims. Delegates who do not wish their images to be included in this material should contact the organisers by email at mrfconference2025@outsourcedevents.org prior to the event.
Will there be a conference app?
Yes. Details will be shared with registered delegates closer to the time.
